Zonta Women in STEM Award uplifts innovation and celebrates the remarkable accomplishments of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields of study. The award recognizes eligible women for groundbreaking research, pioneering discoveries and/or exemplary contributions to advancing knowledge and innovation in STEM.

E-Club of the UK Award

The Zonta Women in STEM Award will be offered at club, district and international level. The Zonta E-Club of the UK is offering one award of £250 plus one year’s E-club membership. 
Deadline to apply to the E-Club of the UK: 4 January 2027. 
The winner of the Zonta E-Club award will be put forward for the Zonta District 29 Women in STEM 2027 award.

Zonta District 29 Award

Zonta District 29 is offering two awards of 1,200 Euros each.

Zonta International Award

District 29 winners will be put forward to the Zonta International Women in STEM Award.

Zonta International offers 16 international awards of US$5,000 each and one year membership in Zonta International for next financial year. 

Eligibility

Those women who:

  • are currently in their second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a graduate program (includes Masters and PhD programs). 

  • demonstrate groundbreaking research, pioneering discoveries, and/or exemplary contributions to advancing knowledge and innovation in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) field of study.

Previous Zonta Women in STEM Awardees are not eligible to apply to renew the Award for a second year.

Applications are generally made to your nearest Zonta Club. Applicants from geographic areas where no clubs are located may apply to a Zonta E-Club or directly to a district.
